there is one important thing about researching books by using Amazon.com, while on the one hand you don't have to buy the books because you can get a good general feel for them from the look inside function, which is nice although not available for every book, the bad thing is that your personal wish list grows.. exponentially i mean its only 51 books long...
so if you want to go and have a look just to be nosey here is a handy link
My Amazon Wish List
right then.. back to figuring out what advanced books is a sub category of second wave
*ponders stuff*
Edit: and now its 53 books long... opps *grins*

so the young lass from upstairs came and gave me some more books, which had been delivered today...
they are. The Grimorie of Lady Sheba centennial edition originally published in 1972. American... this book is important because it is lady Sheba who was in essence the first oath breaker and published Gardenieran (sp?) rituals which before had not been published.. hmmmm.. ooooo mmmmm...
A Book of Pagan Rituals, by Herman slator 1978, is the editor. American. this is an interesting book as it was originally published in two volumes in 1974, it has basic pagan rituals and advanced pagan rituals.. it also contains a suggested reading list with some very early witchcraft books.. i wonder how much this book had to do with the word "Pagan" and subsequent Neo, Modern, and Contemporary Pagan becoming the unbrella term it is today.. *ponders stuff*
and finally i have Green Witchcraft by Anna Moura 1996 American. this is defiantly a second wave book. and but all accounts a very popular one the book that i have is in its 14th printing, which is why i now have it. because of the mass number of second wave books i have gone with the more popular ones as apposed to the little known ones.. but i digress.. this books is classic second wave, and is pretty self contained. it is very much beginner, and like other authors there are books that follow, green witchcraft II & III and a Grimorie (which i already own) green witchcraft has also popped up on my survey replies a couple of times..
so will print off some of the wonderful witchy bookplates i have for the neighbour lass (she is about 10 i think) for bringing the books to me.. woot!!
*bounces around!!*

i have new books... from america....
they are..
The Urban Pagan, by Patricia Telesco.1993 it is somewhat dated, and very beginerish, however for my research just what am looking for. certainly very second wave 90's stuff.. yay
The Rebirth of Witchcraft by Doreen Valiente 1989, this one is going to be very interesting because although it is published within the second wave dates it is very first wave.. and historical.. autobigraphical... hmmm...
Witchcraft and the Web by M. Macha Nightmare. 2001, this is all about witches and pagans online and has usfull temnologies on the margins of the pages.. this is a part of the publication as apposed to someone writing on the book... this one is going to be very helpful becasue it is dealing with some of the stuff i am going to be reserching/writing about. *grins*
and finally.. The Witchcraft Report, by Hand Holzer 1973.. inside this book is an advertisement for 'True' ciggarets, which i found highly amusing... *laughs*.. also it is written in a journalism type style.. so should be really easy to read... yay... not sure how helpfull it will be.. but being that some american witches said that this was one of the first books they read... i will see... i don't really think that this book made it to new zealand so much...*ponders stuff*
i wonder what will come in the mail tomorrow.. it will be like christams every day for a while i am guessing... *big gring*
