Pagans doing Pagan Bashing

it would seem that a newish trend is starting to become popular within Pagan Podcasting, not to mention other places around the web, and that is Pagan Bashing by other Pagans.

i find it odd, because within the heart of paganism is that whole 'diversity is good thing', thing, however it would seem that it has become diversity is a good thing just so long as you all believe the same things i do. *frowns*.. gosh..

this could be a signal of a paradox which is a further signal of a change within the Pagan Community and before such a change there needs to be a paradox like that above to shake the tree from its dead leaves and detritus... *ponders this*

or it could be that this Pagans Bashing Pagans is something that has become more noticeable because every pagan with a computer and penchant for hearing their own voice is now making pagan podcasts,

hmmm... finding good food for thought pagan podcast are quite difficult to find, and i suspect that different ones will appeal to different pagans.. ...

mmm.. diversity...

*ponders for the day*

Yeah, but you've got to admit, quite a lot of them are dickheads and could benefit from a good bash (in a constructive way, of course).

In my experience what is usually perceived as pagan bashing is in fact simple disagreement.

I am not sure where this idea of unilateral acceptance being pagan came from.

Just because I am pagan does not mean I have to pat every crack pot on the head and say welcome sistah and bruther.

Granola factor has gone up dramatically in last several years. And a troll is a troll no matter what religion the troll claims.

well sure we don't have to pat every crakpot on the head, or even accept them, but then we also don't need to bash on about them. (also i could of not downloaded the podcast in question. *grins* then of course would not of had to listen to said pagans bashing pagans..)

you are right about the trolls tho.. *nods*..

there is such a small amount of podcasts that i really enjoy and a couple of those are no longer podcasting.. ack... *pouts somewhat*..

do be do.

Bashing and nonbashing
Can you recommend any particularly good pagan podcasts; or, for that matter, any particularly bash-prone ones?

Re: Bashing and nonbashing
yes *beams*

i like Druidcast, its an OBOD one that has some music and interviews with various druidic type people, and much food for thought, which is the tyep of podcast that i enjoy.. *nods*..

Elemental Castings, by T.Thorn Coyle, (i think that is how she spells it?) this again is mostly interviews and each podcast is based on one of the 5 elements, and again good food for thought.

The Unnamed Path, now this one (tradition??) is aimed at men who love men but i have found it to be quite thought provoking for the most part, every now and again i find myself disagreeing with what is being said but for the most part it is interesting..

i quite enjoyed Deo's Shadow, most the first year or so of podcasts, especially the philosophy sections which were very good food for thought and herb sections,

umm.... and Witchery of One is proving to also be quite good food for thought, and the person who dose it sounds a lot like Jack Nicholson.. which just cracks me up cause i might be remembering that movie "the witches of eastwick"..teheh..

all of the above podcasts can be found on itunes or just by googling their names, most have websites, and while deo's shadow is no longer in production i believe you can still down load it from itunes..??

*twirls around*
